Pastor’s Corner for the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C by Rev. Fr. Nobert Munekani SJ
Dear Parishioners
On the 16th of September 2022, we received a request for donations from Nkanyezi Stimulation Center. Nkanyezi stimulation Center is a non- profit organization located in Orlando West Soweto. The centre cares for children with multiple disabilities. Nkanyezi Stimulation Centre started on the 20th of September 1998 by Mrs Thembekile Prisca Tshabalala.
The late Nkanyezi Tshabalala who suffered from Cerebral Palsy with a VP shunt inserted in his body, was also epileptic and used a wheelchair for the rest of his life, became the inspiration behind starting this centre.
On the 20th of September 2022 the centre will be turning 24 years since its foundation. Currently this centre is struggling to remain functional, and they are requesting for any kind of donations be it monetary or food. Any assistance will be greatly welcome in the day to day running of this centre. The subsidy they get from the Department of Health is not sufficient to cover all their expenses.
For any assistance, please contact Mrs Nandi Dabula (Caritas Co-ordinator).
As We begin the month of October that is dedicated to the Holy Rosary Let us remember to pray for Nkanyezi Stimulation Centre and all the sick in our parish, especially, Ms Elizabeth Mooi and Mrs Julia Nkole.
May God Bless and keep you safe.
Fr. Nobert Munekani SJ
